Quick Overview

The Elite First Aid STOMP Medical Kit is a professional-grade deployable medical pack containing over 500 items across 8 supply categories, designed for trained operators managing trauma, mass casualty incidents, and remote medical emergencies where definitive care is delayed.

The STOMP (Seal Team Operational Medical Pack) is built around a hemorrhage control suite that includes 3 QuikClot 4"x4" hemostatic dressings, 4 BleedStop Bandages, 2 WoundSeal Powder Packs, and a full range of pressure dressings from 4-inch trauma dressings to 12"x30" multi-trauma dressings. These are supported by 10 trauma pads and a surgical instrument set that includes hemostats, a scalpel handle with 6 blades, and sutures, giving a trained operator the capability to manage complex wounds in the field. Diagnostic tools including a blood pressure unit, stethoscope, and penlight extend the kit's clinical readiness beyond basic trauma care.

The pack itself is constructed from heavy-duty rugged nylon with YKK self-repairing zippers, padded adjustable backpack straps with sternum and waist support, and 5 external rows of MOLLE webbing for modular expansion. Its tri-fold deployment design allows the entire loadout to be exposed simultaneously through mesh pockets, elastic loops, and removable pouches, eliminating search time under pressure. At 19" x 14" x 10" and approximately 20 pounds fully stocked, the STOMP is sized for rapid grab-and-go deployment at any incident scene.

Orthopedic and airway management capabilities round out the kit's field-ready profile, with a cervical collar, SAM splints, oral airways in two sizes, and CPR face shields. The inclusion of antiseptics, burn care, OTC medications, eyewash, and personal protection equipment means a single operator carrying the STOMP can sustain prolonged field care across a wide range of casualty presentations without resupply.

Field Application Steps

1. INITIAL DEPLOYMENT: Grab the STOMP by its dual top carry handles or don it using the padded backpack straps with sternum and waist support secured. Position yourself at the incident scene before opening the pack.

2. TRI-FOLD OPENING: Unzip the pack completely and lay it flat to expose the entire loadout simultaneously. This gives you immediate visual access to all mesh pockets, elastic loops, and removable pouches without digging.

3. HEMORRHAGE CONTROL PRIORITY: Access tourniquets, pressure dressings, and hemostatic agents first. Apply QuikClot 4"x4" dressings or BleedStop Bandages to actively bleeding wounds, and use 4-inch or 6-inch trauma dressings to establish and maintain pressure.

4. AIRWAY MANAGEMENT: If the casualty is unconscious or has a compromised airway, select the appropriately sized oral airway, either 80mm or 110mm, and position it correctly. Use CPR face shields if rescue breathing is required.

5. DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT: Use the penlight to assess pupillary response, the stethoscope to evaluate lung and cardiac sounds, and the blood pressure unit to establish a baseline on stable casualties. Record findings if possible for handoff to definitive care.

6. WOUND CLOSURE AND SURGICAL INTERVENTION: For lacerations requiring closure, use wound closure strips or butterfly bandages for superficial wounds. For deeper field interventions, the scalpel handle, 6 scalpel blades, curved and straight hemostats, and needle probe are available to trained operators only.

7. FRACTURE AND ORTHOPEDIC STABILIZATION: Apply SAM splints to suspected long-bone fractures and secure with 2-inch or 6-inch elastic bandages. For suspected cervical spine injury, fit and secure the cervical collar before any patient movement.

8. BURN AND SECONDARY CARE: Apply burn gel or burn spray to thermal injuries and cover with appropriate dressings. Use iodine wipes, BZK antiseptic wipes, or alcohol wipes to clean wounds before dressing. Administer ibuprofen for pain management per training protocols.

9. PATIENT PROTECTION: Place emergency blankets over casualties to prevent hypothermia. Don gloves before all patient contact and change between casualties during mass casualty operations.

10. RE-STOWAGE AND QUARTERLY MAINTENANCE: After each deployment, lay out all contents and verify against the full component list, replacing any used or missing items immediately. Every quarter, check expiration dates on hemostatic agents, medications, and sterile dressings, inspect the pack for zipper or buckle damage, and repack with the most critical life-saving items in the most accessible positions. After zipping closed, tighten all 6 external compression straps to secure the load.
