Quick Overview

The NAR 6" Flat ETD is designed for controlling moderate to severe hemorrhage on large surface area wounds via direct pressure. Its flat-folded configuration makes it ideal for carriage in low-profile kits like plate carriers, ankle rigs, or cargo pockets where space is critical.

Field Application Steps

  1. Expose the wound and tear open the vacuum-sealed package at the red notches.
  2. Place the white sterile pad directly over the source of bleeding.
  3. Wrap the elastic bandage tightly around the limb, stretching to create pressure with each overlapping pass.
  4. Secure the end of the wrap using the integrated plastic closure bar.
  5. Check for bleeding control and assess distal circulation (pulse, capillary refill) below the bandage.
